Ginebra expects tough, physical matchup vs. Rain or Shine

The Gin Kings swept the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters in three meetings in the last PBA Philippine Cup – one in the elims and twice in the quarterfinals. But that immaculate slate would be in danger of being tainted if Garcia would come in unprepared.

Rain or Shine and mammoth import Reggie Johnson made a good impression in their Commissioner’s Cup debut where they outlasted the scrappy Alaska Milk Aces, 109-103, in overtime Friday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

And they ache to score some measure of revenge versus the Kings in their 6:45 p.m.tussle at the Big Dome Sunday.

Odds are on the E-Painters’ side with their good showing Friday plus the fact that the Kings crammed in preparation for the match because of their import change.

Ginebra coach Tim Cone, however, remains positive.
